Church Hill, Tennessee, is a beautiful spot in the mountains full of history, community, and wilderness wonders. With history older than even the United States, the area was a member of the short-lived territory of Franklin. Save the drive and experience the local things Church Hill has to offer.

LAUREL RUN TRAIL

A favorite outdoor spot just south of town is the Laurel Run Trail. Winding along the Holston River, the park offers 4.3 miles of hiking trails inside of 440 acres. The park was the backdrop for the 1984 movie, The River, starring Mel Gibson and Sissy Spacek. Its scenic waterfall is a must-see.

CHURCH HILL FITNESS CENTER

The city of Church Hill operates its own 6,000-square foot fitness center in the heart of town. For a low monthly membership, a large array of exercise equipment and machines are at your disposal.

BAYS MOUNTAIN

A little farther away is the Bays Mountain Park and Planetarium. The 3,500-acre parkland features 39 miles of beautiful hiking trails with a 44-acre lake. There is kayaking, an adventure ropes course, and most of the trails are approved for mountain biking.

Come hear a Gray Wolf pack howl in chorus or visit the planetarium showcasing the 50th anniversary of the Apollo moon landings. Summer day camps are available for children.
